How: Think about the placement of your CTAs (calls-to-action). Through studies we can see that CTAs placed at the bottom of the email ramp up higher click rates than on the right or left of the email. Also make sure it has relevant text. For example, you may find emails sent to a certain demographic may prefer ‘Purchase Now’ to ‘Buy Now’. Research, test and compare your campaigns to improve your call-to-actions.
This seems kinda counter-intuitive, but it’s key if you want to maintain an active, engaged subscriber list. Don’t use weird language like “Alter your communication with us.” Don’t hide an unsubscribe button behind an image without alt text. Besides keeping your list healthy, having a clear unsubscribe process will help ensure your email isn't marked SPAM before it hits the rest of your list's inbox.

Most email marketing services offer a free version of their software or at least a 14-day free trial. The trial allows your team of marketers to practice using the services to see if they like it. We'd recommend trying out a few different free trials if offered. This lets you check out multiple companies and pick an option that's truly tailored to your needs before spending money on the email marketing service.

It’s a very flawed way to perceive such a beautiful way of connecting with the people who were interested in your content in the first place, even worse when we choose to ignore email marketing altogether, which seems to be the case for one-third of the online marketers active today, as claimed by a recent study. On the topic of mistakes, a lot of email marketing people also tend to send out the email marketing email to all of their subscribers, forgetting the importance of email personalization the good that it can do to your business.

So true – aside from Mailchimps’ extremely poor customer service, I didn’t appreciate my account closure (automated BTW), for linking an affiliate course which our course site supports! No even a reminder email to say “you’re violating our terms!” I will be asking for a refund of this months fees, as I notice they took the monthly fee BEFORE suspending the account!

First of all, BuzzFeed has awesome subject lines and preview text. They are always short and punchy -- which fits in perfectly with the rest of BuzzFeed's content. I especially love how the preview text will accompany the subject line. For example, if the subject line is a question, the preview text is the answer. Or if the subject line is a command (like the one below), the preview text seems like the next logical thought right after it:

I used Aweber, and everything was good, but the design and templates weren’t looking great. When my list grow and I had too change plan, it was way too expensive. Then I changed to MailerLite and I am super happy with their payment plan, all unlimited automation etc. I have a lot of Lead Magnets and Landing Pages to grow my list, and each Lead Magnet has it’s own Newsletter Email Campaign, and I don’t pay huge money for it, with the list of 2000 subscribers I pay 9EURO a month compare to Aweber with the same activities I was paying 49$… big difference!!! Now with new ecommerce store I would like to try SendInBlue, does anybody tried it ?

What is email marketing? Basically the use of email to promote products and/or services. But a better email marketing definition is the use of email to develop relationships with potential customers and/or clients. Email marketing is one segment of internet marketing, which encompasses online marketing via websites, social media, blogs, etc. It is essentially the same as direct mail except that instead of sending mail through the postal service, messages are sent electronically via email.

The email marketing industry also has a lot of different companies in the space. This can make it difficult to sort through all the various offerings, but it also leads to more specialized offerings. Businesses of any size should be able to find an email marketing service that suits their business needs and improves their overall marketing strategy. To find the right service, it requires thorough research and comparisons between software you think might work best. Take advantage of the free trials that many companies offer.
A newsletter is oftentimes the gateway to email marketing. It’s an opportunity to humanize your brand, give a look at the inner workings of your business and to keep your subscribers up-to-date with everything new and exciting you offer. It's an extension of your brand. Capitalize on familiarity and use graphics, logos and images. Give a rundown of what's happening in the boardroom. Insert articles, product reviews, how-to's and more. You can use your own template or one of dozens of themed ones we've created just for you. It's your call.
Finding the right online marketing tools can seem like a difficult task. Luckily, the best email platforms offer an unlimited number of messages and progressive pricing packages. This means that your bills depend on the number of subscribers. So, if you are a small business with a few hundred mailing list subscribers, you will only have to pay a small monthly rate. Constant Contact offers great price points for small businesses. You can even find an email service that offers free plans for those who need only a limited number of features, like Benchmark. If you are unsure what your needs are, you can opt for a pay-as-you-go plan.
Remember that the tone and language should match the style of your brand. Be bold and try out something new. Being cheeky, using questions, citing the recipient’s name, or even adding emojis, all jazz up the subject line and draw attention to your newsletter. As you’re are probably very reluctant to be labeled as a spammer, avoid using words that can trigger the spam alarm. 😉
Don’t underestimate how much money email marketing saves you, compared to other using other marketing tools. Paid advertisements like banner advertising, Google AdWords, Facebook Ads and influencer marketing are considerably more expensive than email newsletter marketing. The cost of a newsletter software is usually low and labor costs are also lower, as the newsletter is created and optimized faster than other media.
If you’re a business owner who wants a powerful marketing automation tool that combines email marketing, SMTP bulk emails, and SMS messages, then we recommend using SendinBlue. Their platform is easy to use, and they allow you to manage both email and SMS from a single interface. They also offer a fairly generous forever free plan which makes them the best free email marketing software.
The email software can be learned and used to benefit your business. But the time it takes to learn how to use it and the best way to use it can be time consuming and a lot of trial and error. Although a email marketing service can get that out their for you, the cost can be overwhelming. So, you are going to want someone that also does your social media work as well in order to know your product and get the message out that you want. There are companies out there that can do both and...

Support availability is an important aspect to consider any time you purchase online marketing services, especially if you are a novice. Check if the email marketing software provider you plan to use offers 24/7 support via phone, chat, or email as well as comprehensive documentation. This is especially important when your marketing campaigns are time sensitive. You don’t want to end up not sending out your Black Friday newsletter just because of a technical glitch you weren’t able to fix.

Write a compelling subject line. The subject of your email will be the first thing that people will see when viewing it. Because of the immense amount of spam that exists, it's important that you draw the recipient in enough so that they open the message. The subject line should invite the reader to some benefit or include a sense of urgency which requires action. Avoid cliche marketing terminology like "act now" or "free limited offer" as these subject lines can make recipients feel suspicious and turned off. Your subject line should be 50 characters or less.[2]
